Summer Art Fun for Ages 10-17

Each class is designed to spark curiosity and encourage problem solving while introducing a variety of mediums and materials.  With an emphasis on the creative process vs. the finished product, our classes offer a fun, enriching experience.

Sonoma Art School has partnered with the City of Healdsburg Parks and Recreation for this age group. Register with the City at the links below to guarantee your space. Full and partial scholarships are also available.

WEEK 1 (July 1 – 5, no class on July 4)

Learn how to throw pottery on the wheel to form functional pieces, such as cups, bowls and plates. Explore hand-building clay using simple tools using common techniques of pinch pottery, coil building, and slab building. Please note: We will glaze and fire selected pieces which require two kiln firings, so pieces will not be available for pickup until approximately 14 days after class ends. No experience required.
