Students explore a wide variety of materials and techniques as they mix it up with charcoal, markers, found objects, paints, wood, wire, clay, cardboard, etc to form both 2-D and 3-D artworks. This class offers an open choice or choice-based approach to art where students have input on their artistic creation, from the project’s concept to the materials used. This approach empowers students to make their own creative decisions, fostering intrinsic motivation, ownership, and skill development. They build confidence as they acquire new skills and hone existing ones while learning alternative ways to problem solve and create.
